Why Celebrate Easter?

Easter is far more than a spring holiday—it's the heartbeat of the Christian faith. We celebrate because Jesus Christ, God's Son, willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and then rose triumphantly from the dead three days later. His Resurrection proves His victory over sin, death, and the grave, offering us forgiveness, new life, and the promise of eternal hope.
This incredible truth transforms everything:
Jesus conquered death so we could have life
“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” — John 11:25-26
Because He Lives, death no longer has the final word
“For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:... For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.” — Romans 6:5, 10
His resurrection declares him as Lord and Saviour
“And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:” — Romans 1:4
Easter reminds us that no matter our past, struggles, or doubts, Jesus' empty tomb offers real hope, forgiveness, and a fresh start. We invite you to join us as we worship, reflect on this life-changing story, and celebrate the risen Savior who makes all things new.
